A new decade…..

Guess who just had a birthday? Yep I have just celebrated entering my next decade, you know the one where apparently life begins….!  Honestly I can’t quite believe it I mean one minute I was 18 and the the next…..Still you are only as old as you feel right?

Goodness so much has happened in the last decade.  When I turned 30 I was Mama to a 3 year old and a 2 week old, I was still teaching although I was on maternity leave.  I can remember thinking how much easier 1 child was to 2!  If you had told me then that I would soon stop working, go on to have 2 more children, home educate them all, relocate and downsize at the same time, I would have laughed nervously and run a mile! But we did it, we even managed to buy a wreck of a house and deal with pregnancy and newborn mid renovations!  Ahh the memories and the fun of it all!  I won’t lie though I have had many moments of ‘what the hell are we doing?’  Alas I wouldn’t change a thing.  I think it has been the decade in which I have learnt the most.

 I spent my special day surrounded by all the people I love the most and was thoroughly spoilt all day.  Heres to the next ten years…..
