Kids Art Week – Lesson 5 & 6

We have been following the kids art week activities from here and these two wrap up the series.  You can find our posts on activity 1 here, activity 2 and 3 here and activity 4 here.  First is paint and pastel people and finally portraits in the style of Modigliani.  I don’t think we had the best paper for the Modigliani portraits, I think watercolour paper would have worked better.  We have really enjoyed this series, trying out some of the different techniques and exploring some new to us Artists.

I am not very gifted in the artistic department but art sessions are great memory makers.  We often have music on in the background and many great discussions are born whilst everyone is busy creating.  I would highly recommend creating art work of your own alongside your children.
